These photos came in with the following
write-up:
Here is my 1985 Gran Fury Salon. When these pictures were taken in July, the car had about 135,000 miles on it. So far, I have had the A/C system repaired and charged to R-134, cleaned the interior, put in a shaggy carpet from a 5thAve, put in a Sony cassette player, got the car painted light silver, recovered the headliner and fabric on C-pillar molding, fixed trunk and passenger compartment water leakage, put in a 125 Mph speedo, put on Goodyear Eagle GA P225-70R15 tires with slotted police package rims, replaced front shocks, replaced Lean Burn computer system/O2 sensor, and put new front brake calipers on. I plan on having the front end aligned, putting in an 8 1/4 rear to replace the dying 7 1/4, changing the valve seals, and putting in a transmission cooler. Nice Plymouth, John, it is certain that the car will be cared for as long as you have it! From John |

Ryan Muntener writes,
Hi my name is Ryan Muntener. I am 19 years old, born in
1981 just like my car! This is my 1981 Plymouth Caravelle, named
"Betsy the Beast" :) My car is a simple base-line model,
actually an ex-gov't car (Ministry of Agriculture). Recent
upgrades/repairs are a two barrel Carter carb., a stereo CD player, 4
6x9" speakers. My car is powered by the infamous 225CID Slant-Six, it
being the Super Six Heavy Duty version with a 2 bbl carb. The car has
305,000km on it as of now and its still going strong as I drive it
everyday. My Dad owned the car before I did, but its been my
"gal" for the last two years, and she will hopefully stay true
to me for a long time to come :) Like most of us at Farley's, I have many
dreams for my car which include an 8 1/4 Suregrip, a 318 or 360, new paint
job, certain important suspension upgrades, and of course nice rims and
tires. |
